'The angel whispers while I’m leaning into the devil.'
I had a lot of fun with this project, even with the many challenges and iterations.
Festival of roses in Kalaat M’Gouna, Morocco
This project was inspired by the above image of three women in Morocco.
I was struck by how the figures were connected, creating a beautiful silhouette.
I incorporated that idea to create my own concept.
I decided to retell the classical story of the devil and the angel on your shoulder.
I wanted to portray this the man, the devil and the angel merging into one figure to illustrate the question about defining good and evil, because sometimes the line between them is so vague that they overlap.
To add more atmosphere, I tried to create the scene more elusive yet elegant feel.
Many of the props in the scene are inspired by cultures of North African and Middle Eastern countries.
It’s always exciting to create new shapes and looks inspired by different parts of the world.
I’m grateful for this project, as it gave me the opportunity to explore different software and develop my storytelling skills.
I was responsible for every aspect of it from start to finish and used the following software,
